Old as I am in age, I have no feeling that I have ceased to grow inwardly or that my growth will stop at the dissolution of my flesh. What I am concerned with is my readiness to obey the call of Truth, my God, from moment to moment, no matter how inconsistent it may appear. My commitment is to Truth, not to consistency.
~ Mohandas Gandhi
At Monte Da Vida we are exploring a next-generation way to live….. One that is both high tech and connected to the wider world, as well as being super connected to the land and to each other, and the environment around us. It is a home, a place for regenerative agriculture, for planting trees, growing an abundance of food. And a place where we can practice meditation and healing arts.
We are a team of entrepreneurs implementing ideas for a life-affirming economy, and looking to create long-term vision sustainable businesses that are profitable and give back more than they take.

In the Alentejo countryside, a homestead or farm is typically called a “Monte”, because the houses are often situated on a hill and monte is also the word for hill. Monte da Vida can mean ‘farm of life’, ‘hill of life’, or the phrase ‘um monte da vida’ can also be used to say ‘a lot of life’.
